I'm not sure, but it's a spin-off so usually it's better to watch the main series first.

In my opinion you don't have to but you can watch them because they do appear only in one or two episodes.

No, I don't think it'll spoil anything. Yuru Yuri is very episodic and doesn't have that much of a plot. But it wouldn't hurt to watch the original series anyways to get to know the characters.

If you want to get familiar with the characters and style of humor, but probably not absolutely necessary.

No need, this is not some plot-driven story with twists. Just some relaxing SoL :)

Yuru yuri is hardly a series that spoils anything.so do not worry about that. that being said i recommend watching any amount of yuru yuri seasons before, just because this series kinda works better if you at least get himawari and sakurako.

You should definitely watch the others before this. The whole appeal of this is more Sakurako shenanigans. You get plenty of that throughout the rest of the series lol. You'll enjoy it a whole lot more if you're already familiar with best girl and her other antics.

your advice makes the most sense, I'll watch the parent story first!

Not really necessary, but I can still recommend the parent story. It's such a great show. :)

I suggest watch Season 2 because Sakurako has more screentime and it’s also very funny

@oyabuntaro to me, a spoiler is a spoiler, it could be a whole mountain or a piece of rock, all manner of knowledge matter to me.

I'm really not a fan of these OVAs being called "movies" and put in theaters. I get it from the financial/profit perspective, but these are 40 minutes WITH credits...

I recommend you to watch the main story before but it is not really necessary.

I think you'd enjoy it more if you have the context of the main show. Yuru Yuri also has a lot of great humour so skipping it would be a shame.

This isn't a story heavy series, it's cute girls doing cute things. You won't miss out on much other than establishing character dynamics. That said, you should absolutely watch Yuru Yuri, because it's a great series.

It’s playing in Japanese theatres right now, so we’ll probably be able to watch it in a few months

Technically, this is a spin off movie to the infamous anime Yuru Yuri, so formality watching this before Yuru Yuri isn’t necessary abnormal. However, many of the inside jokes that’ll formulate in this movie wouldn’t make sense if you’re not familiar with the Yuru Yuri franchise.

So yeah, even though it’s optional, watching it in the release order is altogether recommended.

Take care now 💕

@zombie_pegasus Agreed and I am pretty sure it is going to be the same on Spinoff.
