| I usually don't read or write reviews, but I thought an info drop might be helpful for people debating whether to try this series (because these were the questions I had going in). VERY minor spoiler in point #3 (if you haven't yet seen the anime). 1. From what I understand, at the start, Livi is nearly 12 and Nike is roughly 15/16. Their age difference is about 3-4 years. 2. Physical interaction between the two is pretty chaste. When there are brushes with more mature intimacy, it's generally.. * Done for puns. * Done for shoujo's typical sexual-tension teases, usually in the form of dialogue. Can feel gross at times, but it's hard to take a little kid trying to smooth-talk seriously. I dunno. Maybe shota fans will find it exciting. I mostly found it goofy. 3. I'm one of the few that preferred the manga (at least its early chapters) to the anime. Several times, the anime seemed like it was offering up Nike as fanservice, which is kinda odd given the show's target audience and the age diff between her and Livi. For a screenshot comparison, here's one of their early kisses. I wonder what was the point of adding nudity, glossing up her lips and slightly exaggerating their height difference? Considering the intimacy is shared between a developed young woman and what looks like a prepubescent boy, it's a questionable artistic direction to take.  4. In the reviews, there are a lot of criticisms of the manga (rightfully so). However, I didn't find the plot to be rinse, wash and repeat until the Grand Sky Duchy Arc, which starts in chapter 82. I wish I could bleach that arc from my brain, and the majority of the story and character development takes a downward turn afterward. If you get that far, I recommend reading only the first few and final chapters of the Duchy storyline (or google a summary). |

| Thanks, I just found out the manga ended recently and since I watched the anime a couple years ago I figured I'd read it now. The reviews put me off a bit but I'm glad I read this post too. |
