| Catched up with manga at last. THIS IS SOME INSANE AMOUNT OF DETAILS IN THEM DRAWINGS. Peak of all time, period. Right, picks up where left in the previous chapter yet again. Good. Insanely drawn and detailed dance, literal Danse Macabre. Shinichi for once reminded that it’s a mature manga, some brief nudity from the paintings on the wall. Mina got bitten. Or does she? Can Helsing woke her up from that acid trip, looks like Dracula put her under some spell. Luke (Lucy) still with them, so they partly achieved their goal. Dracula escaped. Quincey burned that little shit beautifully, no place for racism here, nicely played. So now we have nice LGBTQ themes, anti racism, some healthy feminism and… still useless, but very sexy Van Helsing. And where the fuck is Renfield. Brief reminding of the Draculas weak points and general Vampire knowledge, always nice, here we are, returned to the very first page of the manga, briefly. And Mina has no reflection in the mirror in that final page (that’s number 3rd characteristic of the Vampire from her writing) and bad reaction towards garlic flowers (that one is the 5th one), shit was expected, yet very welcome. That good damn manga delivers, at least now, both, visually and plot wise. No complaints, can’t wait for more. Will probably re-read Dracula for the 100th time, cuz why not. Minimum 1 month for the next chapter after all. |
