Along with this chapter, and chapter 9, it feels refreshing to see humans with a "sensible brain." We can recall in, one of the prequels, we see humans (especially crazy citizens) acting like barbarians as they fervently hunt down any innocent vampire and their human allies. But I am glad the author is showing some positive features with America where we see normal citizens and normal police showing sympathy to non-humans and dislike towards the inquisition police, calling them "Nazis"

Of course, based on the manga's first couple of chapters, we saw some American thugs going around to be cruel barbarians. We can guess those to be xenophobic neo-nazis. But it is good overall that the author didn't make everyone, in America, as unsympathetic monsters.

The end of Volume 2 really shows that author has lost the plot and all semblance of logic and morality has been thrown out the window. This manga constantly preaches at how vampires shouldn't be persecuted for being vampires, but also goes out of its way to show the evil and deprave acts vampires commit. The story implies that it is a person's choice that makes them into a monster or not, but the story clearly states that vampires have to completely follow the will of their masters. It's pretty clear that the actions taken to bring humans and vampires together has just resulted in more violence, destruction, and victims unwillingly turned into vampires. In light of all this the most hated villains in the story are the humans who have successfully hunted down and eliminated vampires in the United States, while we see the millions of people who whose lives were destroyed by just 10,000 vampires in Shanghai. The people in this story fear vampires for very good reasons, and it really gets me that this manga refuses to acknowledge it justifies the fear that drives the persecution of vampires.
