subs for Ingress the Animation

This seems to be an interesting series. Will any of the major fansubbers take it on? I have nine episodes in 720p, four in Japanese and five in Russian, but have not been able to find a decent subbed version or subtitle files online.

Netflix will be releasing the entire series outside of Japan on November 23rd so subs will definitely be out by then.

Thanks for the information. I started a trial subscription to Netflix today so I could watch it but found it hadn't been released yet (outside of Japan, that is).

Doesn't seem like it though. For now I have been watching it with Chinese subs, and for the most part they are all done from start to finish. The other languages, English is sped up to Ep 5, but as for subs, I think this series is heavily reliant on fansubs.

P.S. Eng subs are not fully subbed (as of Episode 5 on some random kiss website), so is incomplete, might as well wait for Netflix's full release.

It has multiple subs, but no English subs.

Strange, but true. Well, I need something to help me learn Spanish. . .
And it seems to be slowly making its way onto Netflix. There's a trailer now.

I just learned that Netflix will not be offering the English subbed version where I am (!). That prompted me to do another search and I found a 13GB offering on Tokyo Toshokan from "Anonymous" that I'm expecting to be English. I'm downloading it now and my internet connection is very slow so I won't know if it indeed is for the better part of a day at best.

The subs are Japanese in this offering. The video quality is superb though. I guess I just have to wait until I can find .srt files in English for the series.

UPDATE: whoever subbed it in Netflix, was high. Not kidding. The sub is the worst I've ever saw in my live. They translate "understood" to "I'm taking my glove off". And "Welcome back. I'll connect you again" to "I was worried about you".

And I'm not talking about a few sentences or anything, 8 in 10 phrases are wrong. They make sense with what is happening in the screen but 100% have no context to what they are actually saying or meaning. The entire series is like that.

DO NOT trust Netflix sub this time around.

akiraic is absolutely right about this. It looks like the English subs on Netflix are a dubtitle, and the dub's translation is rather loose.

I did a quick look at the Spanish, French, and Italian subs and saw a much tighter translation, so for anyone bilingual I'd suggest watching them. I wouldn't be surprised if only the English subs were dubtitled.

Though that doesn't change the fact that the show's BGM was changed "for reasons".

Good news: The Sentai Filmworks Blu-ray of this show has a proper English subtitle translation.

Bad news: The BGM they used is still the Jacob Yoffee version and not Hidehiro Kawai's soundtrack. Which is odd because Kawai is credited both on the back of the case and in the Blu-ray production credits that Sentai added to the end of each episode. Unless I'm missing some hidden feature?
