Samon the Summoner is a manga series by Shun Numa about the comical misadventures of Sakura ‘Tesshi’ Teshigawara a class president who is considered an honest person to every student in school and a Teenage demon summoner named Samon who is considered scum to many,The series is known for its supernatural elements and humour .
It ran from 2015 to 2017 leaving only 83 chapters and 10 volumes.However when I heard that Muhyo and roji which was cancelled by JUMP gets a sequel manga in Jump + and also an anime adaptation to coincide with it ,I think that Samon the summoner might get a similar treatment though it won’t get a sequel manga series (since anime is used to promote the source material when it spawned a spinoff or sequel manga) unless if Shun wants to.
And if it gets an anime series,I am going to give a scenario on how the series will be adapted into an anime series ,The series will be directed by Fujita Yoichi (the man who directed Osomatsu-san and Gintama) since he wants to direct Samon the summoner if it becomes an anime and I think the studio for the samon anime should be Sunrise,Bandai-Namco or Pierrot.
For the opening theme and ending theme ,I thinking the opening theme should be Jazzy like since this is a gag anime with supernatural like ge ge no kitaro’s 2005 anime opening and for ending theme,I think it should be J-pop with a female singer and a rock band song.
Now for the episodes ,The regular ones will be 2 shorts in one episode format since this is a gag manga but for story arc centric episodes ,i think it will be half hour.
The anime will be faithful to the source material with some changes and also it will have fourth wall break

and the 3 omakes will be turned into OVA shorts.
Here how the first scene in the first episode begins ,Samon appears in the dark room surrounded with creepiness greets the viewers in a horror host like way like his first appearance until he was interrupted by Tesshi which ruins the atmosphere ,Samon doing his ‘scum’ face is angry at Tesshi on why he is interrupting his introduction ,As he tells her that this series which ended finally gets an anime adaptation and it was a chance for him to be introduced to the viewers,Tesshi tells Samon that what he is doing is stupid as this is a gag anime not a full horror series and he should have bring her with him to introduce the viewers and then the scene ends with Tesshi finish the introduction to the viewers by hoping them to enjoy the show.
Most of the episodes will be regular,Some will be two parter and some will be the extension of a chapter before the two part story arc,The storyline involving the popularity contest will be slightly altered when the characters forgot if they win the popularity in the source material ,So the producer will keep on finding it while samon bets that if he is not in first place in the source material he will have to give the horn to the winner while he use his scams to gain popularity like in the source material to see if he is popular,As the story arc ends involving Samon’s battle with Mastema.
A post credit scene will have the producer finally found the page from the source material and show it to the characters revealing that Tesshi is first place and Samon is 2nd which makes him lose consciousness as he lose the bet.
An episode will be based on two chapters revolving around Tesshi’s father even though they are separate while the episode which is based on Chapter 66 will come after chapter 62
The episode which involves the plot where Rin Teshigawara has become a first year student including the final Jump Giga chapter will be used before the Anri rescue story arc which is the last story arc for the series ,The penultimate episode will adapt the chapter where Tesshi meets Samon’s mother which will be extended with a minor change that she is visiting her on weekends and the episode ends the next day when Tesshi meets samon in the school ceiling on a sunset atmosphere after class where he is worried about something.
The final episode which will be based on the final chapter will not only be extended but will have some alterations,There will be no opening title sequence and the opening theme will be the ending theme .
The final episode continues from the previous episode where Samon is worried about something and then in a funny twist his face becomes a sad ‘scum’ face because this is the final episode of the anime series and that he can’t achieve his goal in the series make “Tesshi a bad girl and drag her to hell” and that he actually doesn’t know what to do ,Tesshi then says to samon that she visited his mother as she talks about him this led them to wonder what the future awaits them.So they use Agares to travel six years in the future to see what their future is like after they graduate from high school ,Samon then tells her they might see their older selves but they will not meet them because doing this might cause problems to the time-space continuum ,and instead of their older selves saying about what happened to the characters it’s themselves who must discover what happened to the rest of the characters.
When Samon and Tesshi encounter Emi and Kuzuryuu during their jog and also showed them the photo of Kanako and Ibaraki exploring the jungle,they even saw a news report of Rin imouto becoming a softball star and Kago becoming an actress ,They will encounter Harae who becomes part time salesman and part time exorcist.
They went to a cafe and see somethings never change like Nebiros who is still Barista and P(Fleuretty) who does business as usual.
Then Samon and Tesshi secretly went to the ceiling of their school and secretly look at the older and mature Tesshi waiting for Samon to discuss something ,which he did as he appeared with the help of a teleportation demon.Samon and Tesshi then hear the conversation of their older selves as it shows that the older Tesshi is now a teacher of the school instead of being a university student and does research on demons while Samon deals with Anri but also she tells her that the the rulers of hell are about to attack him and sent him to hell three times worse than his fight with Beelzebub ,Tesshi decides to Help Samon fight against the rulers with the help of their friends and the demon friends they encountered which cheered him but this ticked off his younger self as he decided to confront his older self despite his warnings on not to meet him.
And like the ending of the chowder series finale Samon will confront his future self despite Tesshi’s warning however their older selves are aware they would appear ,So avoiding to meet their future selves in order to prevent the problems to the time and space continuum is just a waste ,Still Samon does his scum face on his older self because thinking that Tesshi will help him during his journey to hell was a stupid resolve in the series and he asked him that he would have corrupted tesshi or something to make it better however his older self tries to tell him that he changed and that his younger viewpoints are immature,But when the younger Samon calls his older self stupid this cause him to change to his angry scum face and argue with him.
As the two samons argue,Tesshi ask her older self that Samon might never get rid of his scum personality which she agrees with her but she also tells her that he understood that society is not just black and white because everyone is neither black or white they are just who they are which Samons mother told her earlier and that he has some kindness within him though he would continue to be the scum that he is,Tesshi smiles and begins to agree with he older self ,we zoom away from the school ceiling leaving the two tesshis continuously watching the two samons argue as we roll the credits.
And as the credits end we see the older Samon and Tesshi in the same room from the first scene of the anime but without the creepiness from the beginning just a normal room with the purpose of saying goodbye and in the style of the final tiger dojo from Carnival Phantasm ,The present samon who appeared and heard from his older self that the anime is ending which he thought he is joking but he is not ,he does his worried scum face pleading the director not to end the anime but the older samon tries to tell him,Even Tesshi (the present one not her older self) tries to tell Samon to let it go but he doesn’t listen then the curtain appear to close the screen and end the anime but Samon in a funny but desperate state tries to hold the curtain and pleads the director not to end the anime as tesshi tries to stop Samon from holding the curtain which is still closing as their older selves leave them alone while the curtain is still closing the screen with Tesshi saying goodbye to the viewers while Samon scream a big no as the curtain closes ending the anime.
