| Sexual perversion isn't the only way one can be perverted. Hisoka's keen desire to watch young talent blossom just so he can crush it out of existence is perverse, twisted, against natural inclination, but not in a "I desire young boys sexually" kind of way. His lust is for the fight itself and the enjoyment he derives from it. Whether you want to argue that fighting brings him sexual pleasure or not, it may very well, or at least something akin to it, and I'd argue for him, it's something much more. He's blatantly not a pedophile though, if for no other reason (which there are many others) than his most desired opponent is a full-grown man, the person he believes would challenge his abilities and threaten his life the most in combat. It's called blood lust, distinctly different from sexual lust. There are countless real-life examples of people who experience this when fighting - many join the military. I think I got way too technical about that, but I've had to argue this point with my family in defense of my adoration for Hisoka. |
