This has been the longest I've waited for an OVA? Is this normal or have I just been watching too many aired shows and can immediately watch the OVA after?

Anime just don't come out in a flash like that.
Give it some time.
And yes you probably did got used to watching completed anime instantly with aired ova's and everything.

Yeah, I figured that. Oh well, I'm fine with waiting. It's just a bit bizarre that the Orange movie is going to come out before the OVA. I'm not expecting these quick releasals, just would think that the OVA would come out before the movie I am anticipaiting

Thanks! Just really needed to know some sort of date of when it was coming out. It's like the NGE 3.0+1.0 movie. It will probably be coming out in 2017.... BUT WHEN is a bigger question :\
