| Do you remember that novel by Golding about a group of British boys stuck on an uninhabited island who try to govern themselves with disastrous results? I'm looking for an anime like this. Not necessarily tragic, but at least psychological. Do you know a "rare-gem" of this type? |

| It'd be significantly easier to recommend you manga that are similar to Lord of the Flies. Both Dragon Head and Eden no Ori have the same premise. Can't really say much about anime though...:/ |

| Really, the closest anime I can think of is Danganropa. I can recommend Cage of Eden and Battlw Royale though. Both psychological, BR is better written and is complete while Cage of Eden is too rushed since the manga would stop serialisation in January 2014 and the mangaka had to wrap it up in 5 chaptera. The outcome was awful. The rest of the manga is really good though. |

| Well...you could try Btoooom! (they are put on an island and have to fight each other) Also Jyu Oh Sei (these rich kids are taken from their lush lavish home and thrown onto a world that is literally alive. IT is for criminals. There is a lot of social norms involved that would be associated with groups like that. Meaning it's similar to lord of the flies because they basically create groups in which there are hierarchies etc. and of course you have some level of individuals doing what they want because they are the biggest and the strongest. It's actually quite an interesting watch.) |
