| Episode 1 aired. It airs every Thursday. I know this anime is not on the simulwatch list, but I figure a lot of us are watching it on our own anyway. So a discussion thread wouldn't hurt, right? I figure most of you are watching it for the Yuasa, while maybe some are watching it for the original creator. What are your thoughts on the series so far? Liking the Chinese used? Which character intrigues you the most so far? How's the art style and animation? Music? |

| I loved Aku no Hana, so the art doesn't bother me once I get used to it. It takes about 5-10 minutes of getting used to and then I was good to go. I thought it started out a little slow, but it picked up quickly. Peco's style seemed overly flashy and I'm not surprised he was owned by China. Would have loved to see Smile v China, but I'm sure that is being saved for later. I started really getting into the show in the second half of the episode. Looking forward to seeing more of this. Smile is definitely where the majority of my interest is currently focused. |

Definitely my favorite non-sequel first episode of the season. I love Yuasa and his artstyle and animation which come through strongly in this show, so what bothers others just makes this even better for me. OP was fun too, the characters seem interesting for a sports show and the general weird combination of sports, psychological and Yuasa should make this one of the top 3 seris of the season for me if nothing surprising happens. This seems tailor-made for me. |
