Imma get the ball rolling on this one:

My favorite character is Hazumu. I think having the ability to experience life as both genders is about the coolest thing I've ever heard of, even if she can't go back and forth like Ranma (whom I hate with a passion--he thinks of his blessing as a curse and he's a jerk to boot). Plus she'd do anything for her friends, and she's adorable when she gets scared or excited ^.^ I'd like to be more like that, heh.

My favorite character is Hazumu too because I am kind of like her in that I am a guy who has some "girly" interests. I wish I was in her situation and became a girl so that it would be more natural and less embarrassing for me to be myself. Of course, I would still like girls lol. Maybe I should create a procedure to change gender anatomically as well as genetically when I graduate lol.

*On a side note: Hazumu, is there any way for you to let me add club pictures?*

Honya, if you can create a procedure like that when you graduate, you'll need to tell me where to sign (can you tell I have similar tendancies?). *.*!

Hazumu, don't really know why. He/she's just a very well done character. She's got a charm to her and I usually hate the cry baby characters... And some of you guys have interesting tendencies O.O But to each his own!

I'm afraid I'm going to have to verge away from the consensus here, as for me, it'd have to be Yasuna. (So much so, I was devestated when the OVA was released, and suddenly Hazumu changed his fancy to Tomari! >.< )
I can't say I'm too keen on Hazumu as a character myself, which is mainly down to the fact he/she was so unsure, and almost selfish to keep both girls chasing after him/her.Which actually started to annoy me half way through, where she/he put girl against girl.

However there's just something about Yasuna that appeals to me. I think the first thing that Yasuna has going for her, is her musical 'geekness', which (I know saying this is rather cliche, but) reminds me of myself; I've played saxophone in a band for as long as I can remember, and despite Yasuna not playing a jazz instrument, the fact she plays flute rocks my cotton socks.
On top of that, I just seemed to be able to form an emotional bond with Yasuna, while I didn't quite find the same link with Tomari: maybe because Yasuna's story arc seemed to touch a few more nerves with me. Or maybe because I've never been a sports fan, I couldn't quite see eye to eye as well with Tomari.

Plus, it does help that Yasuna is so very pretty! Whether she's in her school uniform, a dress, a swimming suit, or even the christmas outfit she wore in the OVA: I still think she's extremely easy on the eyes, and I will quite happily admit I have a soft spot for this grey haired beauty.

So yes, Yasuna for the win here. ^^

I'll definately go with you on that. Yasuna has to be a very close second for me. I play the saxophone too, but only occassionally for my own amusement. Yasuna's, well...so prim and proper and effeminate, it's hard not to appreciate that.

I like Tomari, too, but for different reasons. She's tomboyish, but she has that certain innocent side she keeps locked inside that she's afraid to let loose. Plus, though I rate her third, I think she was the focus of the most emotional scene in the series in my opinion. The look on her face at the stream as Hazumu was about to leave, just after the two of them took that bikeride together, with her plea of 'Don't throw me away!' just chilled me to the core.

That's what makes Hazumu so awesome; she a "trap" but at the same time she isn't. Pseudo-trap ftw!

Traps are awesome. One of the major reasons why Hazumu's my favorite is because she's the ultimate trap! :)

I keep hearing that word used, and unless there's a definition other than the one I know for it, I fail to see how it applies to Hazumu, actually ^.^;;;

Tomari. Why? because I like it when she finally comes to the fact that she really does love Hazumu and how she always defended her. Plus I think she really cute looking, espcially when her hair is down *stares off into the distance*

It kind of does, I guess. Maybe?

I was just agreeing that traps are awesome. It doesn't really apply to Hazumu (I think).

Heh, no biggie, just that Hazumu isn't a cross dresser or a pre-op transsexual, and those are the only meanings I can come up with that seem to remotely apply to the situation.

I'll go with those reasons for liking Tomari. Here she was pushing him away when he was a boy, trying to get him to live life a little, but once she realizes she's taken it too far, she opens up and admits her feelings :)

Okay I joined the club so I can reply. Tomari was my favorite because she was like the underdog. I have a tendency to like the weird or different characters. She was a tomboy but she still kept feminine qualities. I liked the fact that she was a protector not only for Hazumu but also for Yasuna. I think she was willing to sacrifice more for Hazumu. She put up with a lot of Hazumu's BS because that was how Hazumu was and she accepted that for the most part. Besides, the bike/river scene...that made me cry. That's when I knew I got attached to her character. I think I tend to like tsundere characters more because they remind me of myself.

If we got 80% or higher let me know! :)

I have to agree with your reasoning on that. Tomari might not have been my overall favorite, but in my book, she does definately win the award for the most heartwrenching scene, the bike/river one. Also, the face she makes at the end of that...I mean, geez, I could just feel the emotion spilling from her. It's too easy to write off a tsundere character as not having much depth to them. Tomari is very dynamic, she's just not sure how to express herself, which, in her situation, I think a lot of us can relate to.

Welcome to the club, also :)

My favorite is Hazumu. She's just so interesting. Most other guys would like freak if they had gotten an irreversible sex-change, but she's just cool with it. She goes on living her life as if nothing had happened. She is a representation of what people should do in times of change, just keep on going and not fret about it. She's still herself, just in a new form. That kind of thinking rules.

Tomari is my favorite but it was kinda hard to say she was at first because i like the shy type more then the tomboyish type but in my book Tomari i was kinda shocked it turned out the way it did and i just liked her more then Yasuna all tho i kinda figured when she found out Yasuna's problem she would go to her anyways never seen that ending coming at all. Plus Tomari just was plan funny she would beat your ass down if something was wrong in that picture like asuta lol... Like dude back off *pow* haha
