Neon Genesis Evangelion + End of Evangelion for the 'realistic' elements (I'm assuming OP means realistic in terms of realistic reactions to this environment) and important meaning behind the story. Against all odds? You bet. For 'epic battles', the Rebuilds offers this, namely in Evangelion 2.22. However, best to start with the originals since you get a better idea of what's going on and the direction the Rebuilds are aiming to do. |
