While the SDF is an ideal I'd like to see other nations strive towards, Japan is too dependent on the US for military support. You can see this portrayed in countless anime where the create laments this very fact. Back on topic, I want to serve in the Scouting Legion for a similar reason. I want to serve so that others don't have to. So that my loved ones will never know the fear that the Titans can bring. I guess a synonym for it would be "honor." Edit: I forgot to mention that honor is why I currently serve in the military. Kind of explains other things that I said in this thread. Ah, so you do serve? If its not too personal, what is it like in the Military you serve in? Ive heard a lot of things about America's forces and its always been a curiosity to know what is actually right. |
| I'd join the Scouting Legion because I don't wanna die while I haven't got the change to see what the real world looks like and live my life in a stone prison. Not only do you help mankind even though you die on the field but you get some taste of freedom, and that's pretty badass imo. and I'd work with Rivaille |

| I'm voting for scouting legion but ill bet you 100% that in real life most people who chose scouting legion if this was real wouldn't actually chose it, Im one of them, simply because I value my life and have no wish to die a horrible death, But if someone like Levi was there I would join because I'm such a huge fan of Levi as he's so cool and awesome and *sigh* |

From my own experiences, being able to question methods in a logical and properly argumentated manner gets you bonus points from higher ranks, assuming you dont act like a complete dick and can justify yourself in a dignified manner. Its the ones who show that natural talent to succeed in strategy and instinctual logistics who accelerate faster and overall survive. Hence why Ill never join the army down here, where the SR-71 is some "pretty advanced shiet", as the commander in my cousins military academy put it >_>. |
| I would choose Scouting Legion. Although theres comfort in beeing "safe" behind the walls i would rather experience freedom and make myself think that i actually can do something useful. |

| Scouting Legion in a heartbeat. I hate being trapped in one place plus the thought that I can one day train under Levi and be half as good will always make me join regardless. |

| It depends on a lot of different things. Do I have a good reason to risk my life against the titans? I'm not that fond of humanity to begin with and the thought of joining the survey corps just to be eaten alive is not comforting. I also wouldn't have the desire (that so many of you seem to have) to see what's outside the walls considering every time the scouting legion is sent out there, they come back wrecked. On the other hand, if I saw my family killed by the titans right in front of my eyes, I'd be vengeful and driven. At the very least though, I would give the training a try to see if I'm even cut out for it. In reality, most of us(assuming we would even join the military) would be in the garrison. It's the largest of the divisions for a reason. |
| Stationary Guard I guess. I would aim getting into Military Police, but I have terrible sense of balance, so I wouldn't make it. About Scouting Legion... it's not that I wouldn't want to fight, but I'd be too scared. With my motor skills I'd die during the first mission:( So Stationary Guard is my only option. |

| Okay, pretty sure no one in their right mind would WANT to join the Scouting Legion if it were a real thing. Most people probably picked that just because all the main characters are there. In reality that is the highest chance of death even if your one of the elite. No matter how they try to pretty it up as the 'wings of freedom' pretty much all deaths in the Scouting Legion were in vain because they've made so little progress in all the time they've been around. Seriously, the only hope to make a difference is not humanities efforts with the scouting legion... but having a Titan shifter of their own to use. Then again I wouldn't want to join the Military Police because they lose all their skills from living the soft and cushy life. I guess the garrison is the best bet if you don't wanna join the suicide squad or the couch potatoes. |

| Voted for Military Police, just to be honest. Because having a easy life sounds like a lot better option than becoming a meal for a 3-15meters tall freaky as hell looking titan on your first mission. If I happened to be some super skilled folk like Levi then Survey Corps. |

Ladies...let's be realistic here. If you actually met Levi and interacted with him, after even a minute conversation you would want to throw yourself into the mouth of a titan. |
| Neither. I would be an Engineer and design a different combat gear against the Titans because those 3D Maneuver gears do not seem reliable AT ALL. |
