I need your kind help for the scanlation of the last Special Navigation "Tabidachi". Download the raw scans and the draft translation from my album.

page 152, panel 1:
"I finally dragged myself out here."

page 153, panel 3:
Sounds a bit weird.

page 154, panel 1:
"Ciao!"

page 155, panel 1:
It's probably safer to stick to "sea gulls" since "mew" is a bit obscure for some readers. I'm also not familiar with onomatopoeia but "squawk" might be better if you're just placing notes on the side instead of actually replacing the sound effects.

page 155, panel 4:
Memorial day has different connotations. Maybe "This day commemorates..."

Currently trying to thing of a bad pun for page 154.

I know. This is quite a complected pun. I wrote about it in PNG files.
>P155-1
I see. The Japanese onomatopoeia for the see gull is "ミャーMyah", so I thought "mew" came from its chirping.
>P155-4
Then, we don't need to stick to the words derived from "memory". How about "Today I'll take my first step as a Undine. I don't wanna regret."

GrimaH gave us a wonderful translation. If you have a comment, feel free to post it on this board.

on page 152 the way she's saying things in the bottom three panels is a bit awkward, i'm not sure what the literal translations would have been so i'm not sure how to change it without losing the original meaning.

on page 153 she says "that was rather too" is "rather" necessary? it makes what she's saying about being too formal sound too formal.

on page 154 she says "I had tried to", i think it would sound better if she just said "i tried to"
also, "ciao" is misspelled (unless this is part of the pun that didn't get included?)

on page 155, what's in those bubbles in the center panel?

thanks for the translation :)

The punchline of this page is Ai used an informal expression to Akari and she regreted about it. You know, Japanese language has complicated "Keigo (Respectful Speaking)" rule.

Umm, I don't have a sense of that kind of slight nuance. I leave this to someone else.

I'm not sure about the grammar, but does the subjunctive mood imply "I though I tried but I had failed actually."

It's chirping of the see gulls. It sounds like "Myah".

Oh lawd, HQ Chinese scans. *searches for it*

What dtshyk said.

on page 153 she says "that was rather too" is "rather" necessary? it makes what she's saying about being too formal sound too formal.

I didn't think "rather" would imply formality, but I'll see about it.

on page 154 she says "I had tried to", i think it would sound better if she just said "i tried to"
also, "ciao" is misspelled (unless this is part of the pun that didn't get included?)

I think so too.
I'll edit it when I get my hands on the Chinese scans.

On the seagulls thing, I usually leave their SFX untouched (I'm translating the main manga atm). Any translation of that would sound weird.

@GrimaH
I'm curious how it's translated in Chinese. It should be relatively easier to reproduce Ai's jokey lines. Do they have similar rule to Japanese "Keigo (respective speaking)"? and how was"何卒 nanitozo" line translated?
