| My suggestion is to have public and private list checkboxes / radio buttons, because maybe you want to be able to see something on your list that you don't want other users to see, but don't want to change your list to a private list - like enforcing user/group permissions. For example, when looking at the panel settings for your anime list, it would look like (the spacing didn't hold out to welll when actually posted, so I inserted _'s to keep them readable): Public list settings ________|___Private list settings ______________________|___o use the same as public list x title _________________|___x title x episode # ____________|___x episode o start/end date ________|___o start/end date o storage ______________|___x storage x rating _______________|___o rating So when you are not logged in or other users see your list they see title, episode #, and rating, but when you log in you see title, episode #, and storage columns. There could also be a checkbox to select 'use the same as public list'. I don't know how the code is set up, but it would probably do the same checking as it does to enable the 'edit/more' and '+' hyperlinks that show up when you are logged in. Also, it would be nice if the start/end dates would be separately selectable, instead of needing to have both or neither. Did the forum search capability disappear? I couldn't find it... Thanks! | this has already been turned down, mainly because of all the work it would take to implement. and yes, forum search has temporarily been removed to help reduce lag. |
