| I thought a thread about this matter was needed, so I made it. To put it simply, tell us which version of Kamui you like more, and why. The troubled student from X, or the cold vampire from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle? My choice is easily X Kamui, for the following reasons: 1- X came first. Kamui Shiro was, initially, the protagonist of X, and only of X (a pretty damn good protagonist, I must say). 2- Since TRC was created many years later, the Vampire Kamui, twin of Subaru-sama, is basically just an alternative version of the original Kamui. Sure, I love his newer version too (vampire + twin of my husband is not a bad sight at all), but the original Kamui is still the best for me. A Vampire Kamui is cool and all, but the good old Kamui Shiro is a very deep and interesting character. Both are extremely fascinating, nonetheless. 3- X Kamui has much more character development than TRC Kamui, also because the latter, sadly, had very little screen time (major disappointment). 4- X is my most beloved manga in the world. Hands down, nothing is better for me. 5- I don't really like TRC (and neither the other recent Clamp series). So yeah, not to sound rude with the TRC fans, but I'll stick with the "old" Kamui (same goes for Subaru-sama, of course). I'm a nostalgic person (and I want those 4 women to finish X, goddamn it). P.S: Sorry, no "I like both" option for you. This is a poll, ergo its purpose is to see which Kamui gets the more votes. |

| I like the Kamui from Tsubasa better even if the "real" Kamui is from "X"! I think he looks better there! <3 (and he's more mysterious) But what I love the most about him is his character. He is silent, but also a strong worrier, who do anything for the persons which are close to him! (Subaru or Kotori/Fuuma) His heart is from ice and he doesn't let anyone close to him! |

I read the most recent translated chapter of that CLAMP omake manga and I kid you not, I actually let out a little involuntary scream of fangirlness when they showed Kamui on the last page under the tree (and it was totally the X Kamui). | I actually like both a lot but I would say I prefer the Original X Kamui. I just have to say that he is one of the best protagonists I know. |
