| Being a third-worlder feels counter-conductive to aura. Imagine wanting to be "poetic", "edgy", "artsy" or a "sensitive young man" when your background noise is this:  It definitely doesn't work, those things were made to work in a silent and comfy place. I'm personally able to access such places, but ti's not the case for everyone and there's often a class divide in this. As a third-worlder myself, I told stories that people like me will often just speak in English on the internet, join English-speaking communities and essentially turn themselves into gringos in all except their documents in order to achieve that "aura". In my country specifically (Brazil), there's also a meme called "📍 Xique-Xique, Bahia", you use it when you see someone LARPing to call them "Someone from a random poor city from the boonies of the third-world", it's a way of saying "That doesn't fit with people like you, you should stick to third-world stuff". As someone whose large part of experience and personality was formed by "cosmopolitanism", that's kinda frightening. Is being denied "aura" a human rights violation? |

| Is "human rights" a UDHR (Universal Declaration of Human Rights) reference? Noisy neighborhood would be more of civil rights section, but i don't know Brazil laws. Bringing it online is just disrespectful. Let's not exaggerate or bring in 3rd world stereotypes. |
