OK so the bosses daughter says "spicy girl" but in bold letters it says spicy lady. Buccaraiti says sticky fingers and its zipper man(zipper man makes more sense). I really cant remember the crazy one I just watched a few episodes ago on stone ocean. But can anyway explain why this happens? Dont want childish input please its boring just be nice

Araki (the mangaka) has been using real life songs, albums, musicians and so on as names for his stands and characters. Due to copyright issues they need to change it. “Sticky Fingers” for example is a band, they needed to change the name to “Zipper Man” so it wouldn’t be copyright claimed. So in short, they couldn’t make the anime if they didn’t change the names.

Araki, the author of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, often names Stands after real-life musicians, bands, or songs. However, in the anime, these names are changed to avoid copyright issues. That’s why the localized versions use different names, for example, Crazy Diamond becomes Shining Diamond, Killer Queen becomes Deadly Queen, Gold Experience becomes Golden Wind, and Stone Free becomes Stone Ocean.

And no, it’s not because you’re from the UK, the names are localized differently in the anime from the original manga for everyone.

The names between the Japanese and the subtitles are different because of US Copyright law. Since Araki is using names of American and British rock bands for stand names, they studio runs the risk of getting sued if they used the original names.

No worries! JoJo’s can be confusing at first, but it’s totally worth it and it only gets more bizzare the further you go. And don’t miss Part 7: Steel Ball Run anime when it drops, it’s JoJo at it's best!

Sticky Fingers is a Rolling Stones album.

In fact, I think Prince sued and won because the Gold Experience name was used in a videogame
