Good evening everyone, how are you? I hope so. I will explain if To Love-Ru Darkness can have a third season.

To Love-Ru Darkness is the continuation of the To Love-Ru manga and the anime also adapting approximately 49 chapters of the original manga in its 26 episodes and a few more broken into its OVAs, but To Love-Ru Darkness has not yet finished its story, as it still needed to adapt volumes 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 of the manga, something that the animation unfortunately did not do after the end of To Love-Ru Darkness 2nd Specials, making only a few more OVAs, and there is also the fact that the original studio Xebec that adapted the anime seasons was from Vasco (slang in my country, because when someone dies here, people say that the person goes to play for a team called Vasco Da Gama), so the chances of To Love-Ru Darkness 3rd coming out are pretty low (While Strike The Blood this shit got 5 seasons to adapt until the end) besides there are no studios as good as to adapt an ecchi work with perfection as Xebec did, at most TNK, But it is very difficult, I'm sorry but unfortunately To Love-Ru Darkness will not have a third season (I really wanted to see the adapted ending, even if the ending of the story is disappointing in the manga)

I hope you enjoyed it :) God bless you

the first question to ask: is the source material still in production?

the second: what is the actual fan base in japan?

third: is it possible in 2025 for this to not be instant drop in H categorie?

@lirdrigoniaz Honestly, To Love-Ru isn't as popular as other Weekly Shounen Jump series, but To Love-Ru used to sell a lot. If The Devil Is a Part-Timer got a second season after almost 10 years, To Love-Ru could have another season to adapt the ending. The original material is already finished, so To Love-Ru could have a final season to adapt these volumes into the anime. And there's a difference between ecchi and hentai. I'll use two examples here: ecchi can be light, moderate, or heavy, as is the case with To Love-Ru. But generally, in ecchi anime, we have the perverted part and the story, as is the case with High School DXD, which uses this (at least for me) in a good way. Ecchi can have a very good story, as I think DXD, To Love-Ru, and The Testament of the Sister New Devil are, or it can just be a horrible anime like Isekai Meikyuu de Harem Wo, and Shuumatsu no Harem. Hentai is already full of explicit sex scenes, but without a grand story behind it like some ecchi animes like High School DXD and Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry (which have less ecchi)

But the chance of To Love-Ru having more seasons is kind of difficult, so unfortunately it's tough.

I hope I helped in some way.
