| Only commenting here because of the spicy scenes with Meng Ke'er which was the only thing worth watching, gotta respect that in the current donghua environment. Though they deleted nearly a minute of the scenes not even a day later in fear of reports, wow, who would've expected that. However this ain't saving Yien Animation's awful screenwriting and over the top game aesthetics animation, as they keep copy pasting the exact same formula in every donghua they make. The studio keeps boasting about "completely sticking to the original novel" to bring back the viewers the donghua lost, but the original novel isn't particularly good to begin with, and their screenwriting amplifies these weaknesses. There's a reason why the first two seasons were heavily adapted, one could argue for the better or worse, but it still performed badly and continues to do so. I couldn't even get past episode 1, aside from the bad taste from the first two seasons, changing art design three times definitely didn't help. Gotta say, the season 2 art design was the best and most palatable of the three, what a waste. |
