Have you ever droped a manga that you had been following for a long time and with great interest?

Not outright dropped, but I put it on the on hold list and then forget about it.

For example Gantz. I never was particularly unsatisfied and even really enjoyed the 2016 movie.
It's just that I haven't touched it since 2012. Still planning on finishing it, though. Maybe next decade.


There are long running stories I dropped after reading most of it, but it's not like I read those over years. For example, Solo Leveling got really, really stupid later on. Not even the Manhwa, I read the novel because I enjoyed it. Unfortunately the novel got really stupid, so I dropped the Manhwa to save me the disappointment.

Also have manga I bought many volumes from and then just dropped them because it got stupid. Again, nothing I read over years.


Maybe Berserk. That one got pretty stupid and then the author played Idolmaster instead of continuing it for like two decades and then also died. Not sure if I'll ever catch up with Berserk again.

@TransferUser And you weren't sorry to end it? There are a number of titles that I droped after many years of investing and I still feel uncomfortable when I think about them.

They either turned to shit or I forgot about them. Why would I lament about it?

Plenty of manga I had a good time reading over years turned to shit with the ending, too. Like Claymore or Gunslinger Girl. It's unfortunate, but I can't do anything about it, so I move on.

Come to think of it, I don't have a single completed manga on my shelf. Either they never end or they turn to shit.
No wait, I lied. The Voynich Hotel ended with three volumes and it's excellent. That one is sitting on my shelf, but it's inconspicuous, since it only has three volumes.
