Will this show turn into a cult classic?

This show was my favourite show last season... Its is the third after CIty and Panty and stocking this season to me... There is a little mermaid anime coming soon... i believe this show will end up becaming a cult classic and i hope it gets a second season but i do not know about the sales scenario of this show in japan... so someone kindly share that below, please and thank you!!!

I liked it the first couple episodes, but after a while it got kind of boring not that it’s bad. It’s just that it’s a slice of life and I’m not too into that unless there’s something interesting going on within the story like being stuck on an island or something.

I don't know, that is something difficult to predict.
I would definitely like this anime to revive the anime that adapts classic novels.

@AngelDMedina SAME! CLASSICS HAVE A CALMING EFFECT BUT I HOPE OTHER CLASSICS GIVE TIME FOR MOMENTS TO SINK IN... THIS STORY WOULD HAVE BEEN A 10 STAR IF IT HAD 36 OR EVEN 30 EPISODES TO GIVE SOME MORE EFFECT OR TIME WHERE WE JUST POETICALLY APRECIATE NATURE, GRIEVE OR DEVELOP RELATIONSHIP BY ACTUALLY SEEING THEM UNFOLD THAN THE JUST SKIP OF MULTIPLE YEARS... AT START I WAS WORRIED THAT BY EP 24 QNNE WOULD BE 30-35 UNLESS THAT WAS BEAUTIFULLY TOLD... AFTER COMPLETING IT I WILL WATCH THE ORIGINAL...

It is a shame people keep comparing it to the 1979 version, which probably is regarded as a classic by many, and criticise the pacing as too fast. That is the problem, people will say "it's good but not as good as the original".
Personally I think it's 2nd best drama of last 12 months after Apocathry Diaries 2.

Fun when she was a toddler, but got more boring as she aged. I’m several episodes behind and I’m waiting until nothing is on until I finish it. Opposite of the first half where I looked forward to every episode
