2027 isnt that far, we’re already nearing the end of 2025, and Season 2 will be here soon.

I just cant help but notice that the action sequences are one of the weaker aspects of this adaptation so far.

Yes, action is not the main focus of LOTM, but personally it’s one of the most enjoyable elements of LOTM novel.

I’m not saying the fight scenes in Season 1 were bad, they were actually quite good, but there’s definitely a lot of room for improvement.

In Volume 2, the amount of fighting would be doubled compared to Volume 1.
And Volume 3 would be even more crazy, it's legit just a volume full of fighting.

And I can understand the struggle of directing and adapting LOTM's fight. Because the fight in this verse is very weird and unique. Most of the fight is not as simple as a character throwing punches or swinging sword.

I notice that animating a generic fight was so much easier for the studio to do, for example, in episode 6 when Azik fough those soldiers, the fight scene was very clean and well animated and also well directed. Because it was just Azik swinging his sword to cut down his opponent.

Now, I'm just wondering if the studio will ever improve their fight animation, or if this is the best they can do? and we won't see anything better from them?

As long as the studio can maintain the current quality, I won’t be upset if the action doesnt improve in the upcoming seasons. But if they do manage to improve, that would be a huge win, especially for fans like me who really enjoy the action element of LOTM.

Edit: I just watched some clips from the studio's previous work. And so far the King's Avatar has the best action sequence. And it was the same director too. This gives me hope that the studio is actually capable of making a better action sequence compared to what we saw in LOTM season 1. I hope they bring back whoever worked on the King's avatar for Season 2 and 3 of LOTM.

Just cross-reference it with the studio’s other works to get a clearer sense of their style and strengths.

@lalindu some of the fights were great. Like Azik in episode 6. Leonard in episode 2 and 8.

But the other fights I felt they're just okay. The Clown fight was good but it has some jarring running animation in it lol.
