Exactly, not to mention there was also Enmu of Mugen train. Hell, it should even be clear that UPM 2 is also just evil, as is the case with all psychotic KnY villains

Finally got around to watching this in the cinema in Japan. This movie is a wonderfully faithful adaptation of the manga, which is a shame because some areas definitely needed more work. For example, Zenitsu’s battle with Kaigaku felt very rushed (just like in the manga) and like an excuse just to give Zenitsu something to do.

I cannot fault the animation at all as all of it was sublime and watching the infinity castle in the theatre felt immersive, like I was there. It won’t look the same on my laptop screen when I watch it again. However, I will gripe that this and possibly the next movie should have been episodic rather than chunky movies. That format gives more space to expand and also gives the audience a breather between episodes instead of three awesome back to back fights sprinkled with lacklustre flashbacks which detract from the action

Anime was good since it is a part of 3 movies the story did feel incomplete but will complete this rating once all 3 movies are done.

pretty bummed out that Shinobu's poison wasn't enough to kill Doma to avenge her sister. instead she died and got absorbed? don't know why Doma doesn't eat her the old fashioned way, but it was tragic. Zenitsu's fight and backstory was just fine to me, all i thought was the opponent was a real douche even back when he was a human and Zenitsu was able to show off with a new technique. Akaza fight were great and stunning, the backstory was good and emotional. dude was so strong that he could survive without a head but in the end he was actually a good guy so he offed himself. really enjoyed it 8/10
