Basically I got interested in the series but I wonder if has an ending that ties all loose ends and pretty much covers the entirety of the source material. Because I've been looking for one of those.

The anime is a full adaptation, albeit super rushed. Reading the novels after watching the anime was a much better experience for me. There are so many important interactions and moments cut from the anime, leaving an enormous number of plot holes in the anime's ending. The anime is just a superficial adaptation that skips quickly from one important plot point to the next, without caring about any of the finer writing or details of the moments in the novel. However, it is understandable, considering how much information each of the volumes contain.

I don’t read the written material.

But I sincerely enjoyed this anime!

I’ve suggested it to others.

I would definitely re-watched this anime again.

And I’m even hoping to a second season πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

It's a love story amongst a political war while the anime adapts the main events correctly you lose pretty much everything about the world and relations between the different factions so not really a full adaptation
