Kinda plothole?

This anime was worth the watch, had me hooked till the end.
But why couldn't the school just remove 9C class? Why could the school not assign any student or teacher to 9C? Was it explained in the novel that wasn't explained in the anime? You think this is a valid plothole?

i watched Another quite a long time ago but if i remember correctly the curse wasnt tied to the class itself but rather the denial of the death that triggered it, the environment and "spcial group" so it would remain and follow the students even if they were not actually part of that class. it's not well explained but i think they adressed it, like even if they closed the class or destroyed the school building it would stull persists, it would just be much more random and impossible to control, hence why they created the "ignore the extra" method to survive it.

To this day I think the idea of choosing the person to be ignored and cheating the curse doesn't make sense and there are many things that also have no explanation either in the novel or in the manga.

It was mentioned that they tried many precautions including something similar to what you described and they worked half of the time.
It was only when they started to completely ignore one student, it seemingly started to take effect.
