Its been 1.5 years but no s3 announcement. There was a 3 year gap between s1 and s2.
When do you think will s3 air?

Considering how manga is split into 4 big arcs, which had smaller arcs in them and each season covered 1 big arc it shouldn't be its last. Next one should be its 3rd, idk exactly what itll cover. But 4th season should be final, it should also be it biggest since its the one thats still ongoing currently. Of course i could be wrong and if i am, am sorry

Just be patient. There's no telling when, but I get the feeling it's only a matter of time. And there's also MAPPA to consider seeing that this studio is quite busy to the point where they ended up creating an infamously toxic working environment.

s1 dropped 2019. s2 dropped 2023, four years later. following that patten, then s3 should be 2027.

Oh... oh no... I haven't even considered this possibility, and it makes me feel depressed.

Cramming everything that's coming into a single season or even a movie is an absolutely terrible idea. But worse things have happened, I guess (The Promised Neverland comes to mind).

I sincerely hope that they just don't make anything at all if they can't guarantee multiple full-length seasons.

Nah, need 4 seasons because 4 arcs.
Season 1 = Arc 1
Season 2 = Arc 2
So i think it gonna be Season 3 = Arc 3 and Final Season = Final Arc.
The anime is quite popular and the staff are passionate.
MAPPA just needs time to support the staff with their animators etc, but currently they are probably all mobilized on Chainsaw Man, Hell's Paradise, Jujutsu Kaisen, Oblivion Battery, Campfire in another World and others... the list is long.

Without an announcement, it's hard to tell, we don't even know if it's in production.
Mt best guess us that it will happen around 2 years after the announcement. If they announce it this year, then probably 2027.

Waiting this masterpiece since the season 2 ended. Manga is near to the ending, so I think we will get an announcement this year. I guess the anime will release 2026. That is the best schedule for season 3. 1 year of work is enough for MAPPA quality, don't worry.

just my opinion, i dont really think so. because 1 season usually lasted 40 smthin chapters. and s2 ends on around 90-100 chapters. im currently on chapter 170~ and theres still more till it actually finishes, so very likely s4 will be the end

probably late 2027 if they want to cover whole expedition arc which will take somewhat 20-22 episodes and this might come even late because mappa is working on jjk,CSM,hells paradise and many more animes
