so, i just finished the anime, and i was really rooting for usagi. unfortunately, he died, which was such a bummer. i honestly thought he'd win, especially with his power to control the dead and turn them into his puppets. but i guess you really never know how things are going to turn out 🤧

one thing that really disappointed me, though, was how the anime didn’t really delve into usagi’s life before he entered juuni taisen, like they did with the other characters. i didn’t get to know much about him at all, and it left me feeling a bit unfulfilled.

does anyone know if the source material mentions anything about his past? i’m really interested about it, especially since he seemed like such a mysterious and complex character.

to answer your question ( or lack of an answer if im gonna be honest.) Usagi was made to clearly be a villian/monster in comparison to the rest, so they probably didnt want to flesh out anything that could make him morally grey/gray and just keep him as purley evil. its been years since ive watched this, nor have i read any source materials, but i doubt the animators left out anything on accident. sources on him either arent prominent, or it was cut on purpose. Sorry for saying a whole lot of nothing there

I've read Nisision's original book, and it explicitly does NOT mention Usagi's backstory. He's meant to be an enigma, it seems
