| It seems the site completely misses to add the topic to the "My Watched Topics" list, if I write in the thread. I can't find the setting for this anywhere, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. As it is now I have no idea when anyone answers me because I do not get any notifications. |

| Just writing in a thread won't automatically add it to your watched topics. Only if you create a new thread it will do that. If someone replies to you and they use either the quote feature or the @ mention feature you will get a notification. If they don't use that, you won't. You can manually watch a topic by clicking "Watch topic", the button above the first post of a thread or by clicking the circle next to the thread title when you're in the board view. Then you'll get a notification about all replies though, not only when someone replied to you specifically. Also make sure you activated notifications in your settings: https://myanimelist.net/notification/setting |
