| I mean a lot of anime is copied from real-world location. I'm pretty sure Flowers of Evil uses realism for backgrounds in the anime adaptation at times Look into Kengo Hanazawa's manga for more of the same for what you're describing |

| Hiroya Oku uses photography to varying degrees. Sometimes it just looks like he's stuck an art filter over a picture, but other times it looks quite dynamic. Panpanya has also used photography in their work. They blend photography and art quite well in Guyabano Holiday. |

| it's a hit for me, cause i'm not too keen on foreign language vlog videos. it makes it easier to compare world building in anime and see the changes / similarities as time goes on. |
