At a penetrating brain injury, the stab wound directly pierces the brain tissue. This can cause damage to the neurons, blood vessels, and surrounding structures. The severity of the injury depends on factors such as the depth of penetration and the affected brain regions. If the stab wound damages the frontal lobes, it could result in changes in personality, decision-making, and other executive functions. As you can see, this canon clearly suggests that Master Roshi could have suffered traumatic brain injury at this eloquent brain region exactly. Which may very well explain some of his unscrupulous behavior.
