Should I watch Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn first or will this one be a complete remake from the start? wouldn't want to spoil myself since anime put it as alternate version.

you should watch whispers of the dawn as its a prequel

same thing happened with fate grand order babylonia having prequel ova and same with unlimited blade works tv having prequel episode too

its a tradition for fate shows at this point to have prequel episode or ova

Unless i missed it, nothing was said about that.
However, Whispers Of Dawn literally is only the Prologue, and the TV Series was announced at its end. I don't think they'll bother to integrate it.

it's a pilot episode, kinda how demon slayer airs the first episode (50 min) of every season in theater

It's like a prologue episode of Unlimited Blade Works's prologue episode, so I will say you should watch this. And it's very good so why not!

Whispers of Dawn is the direct setup for the events of the upcoming series. Definitely watch it if you plan to watch the series
