They showed unseen clips at the end implying there will be more, but then i looked on mal and there is no sequel there for a ptw. so was that because it wasn't actually announced or did it get cancelled cause i know this show had production issues or maybe netflix said no.

They never announced a Season 2 so there isn’t one on Mal, sadly 😢

God I hope so. I've been watching anime since 2015, yet this story shot up to my Top 10 before it even ended. It's just so fresh, so aesthetically pleasing, so funny. One of my quickest Favorites. It was saddening seeing all the cynicism and pessimism directed at the anime. Some people don't find anything special in this "isekai", others were annoyed by the pacing and strange production schedule—and as a result, lost interest. I just don't understand why this series isn't given the same fan treatment as Konosuba. But back on topic—yuh, I hope for a Season 2 as well. Part of me feels it won't happen due to lack of material, lack of popularity/demand, and perhaps being negatively affected by the production setbacks of the first season. But hey, look at Devil is a Part Timer, right? It's not impossible.

One of my favorite series ever, I hope it will get a season 2 at some point.
In the mean time, I started the manga, I enjoy it a lot :)

The drawings are less "clean" and the uncle is really dumb so there might be a rejection from a lot of watchers.
I think it would have worked better if he was made shy with small emotional dumbiness and maybe less ugly.

I liked the show but it's too much most of the times, it could have been a masterpiece without that.

The anime has a really high drop rate on MAL from what I can see so you’re probably spot on with that. Issues with the development of the anime as well as Netflix jail most likely didn’t help it much either. Shame though cause the manga is actually pretty great IMO especially with the most recent arcs.

Even with all that though it could still get a second season as the manga sells rather well.

I hope you're right for a second season, sometimes I don't understand why crap animes badly rated get multiple seasons where decent ones don't even get a finish.
