Should i read the manga?

I haven't started the anime yet and i'm wondering whether i should just read the manga since it's finished cuz i can't be waiting a year for season 2.
But at the same time it doesn't pique my interest that much from what i've seen so far.

So i need you manga readers opinions please!!

(also since it's not too long i'd reckon i would be able to finish it in a week so it's just a matter of whether it is worth it or not)

if u are looking for some generic shounen to kill your time then u should read it

Although it's sometimes funny I'd consider it as generic shounen manga. If I were you, I would wait for the second season. If you like, you can watch the first season. Again, this is just my opinion, but I believe fighting-oriented manga are better suited to the anime format and, as a result, are more enjoyable to watch.

tbh I agree, I prefer seeing fighting scenes in anime since it's more clear

ooh I hadn't thought about it, and rather than starting from the start i could start from the chapter the anime ended at ,

I really enjoyed the manga, it's definitely worth reading.
the pacing of the anime seemed a bit fast to me, but maybe just because I've read the manga before.

While I can, to some degree, understand the people above calling Mashle a "generic shounen", I think that it is a bit disingenuous as well. It's clearly meant to be a parody of both shounen as well as things like Harry Potter. It's way more (and way funnier) than just a generic shounen, at least in my opinion.

I would say to give the manga a shot. I feel that the anime and manga have similar levels of quality. If you end up really enjoying the manga, you can always go and watch the anime later for fun!

Worth reading for the jokes are more pronounced in the manga than in the anime
