Do you think this will get a second season?
If so how far do you think it will go?
I think its pretty safe to assume they will adapt here up until the "First concert arc" ]

So the second season would be mostly 2.5 D play (8 episodes if we still follow the pace) and then if they get around 12-13 episodes they could adapt "private" arc too.

With episode 4 recently out, I still think it's too early to ask that question. Maybe around ep 10 we can exactly predict whether it will get the 2nd season or not. But in my opinion if the hype of this anime continues then it will definitely get the 2nd season.

I think they’ll probably adapt. All of the 2.5 D play arc and then up to chapter 68 in private.

It sure will get a 2nd season. And the 2nd season will do great, as it'll adapt the best arc of the series, so a 3rd season will also probably be made

I mean it's pretty much guaranteed to get a second season, I'd be way more surprised if it doesn't get one. It's one of the most popular anime this season and it's by the same author as Kaguya-sama, which is 99.99% getting a full anime adaptation. I'd also bet Oshi no Ko will get a full anime adaptation. First season will end on chapter 40 and the second one will end on chapter 80. Third season is debatable, since the manga hasn't reached 120 chapters yet.

There’s enough content in the still ongoing manga for at least 3 or 4 seasons of 12 episodes, plus the first season has had great reception so far.

they will likely end S1 with the idol arc which would be 4 volumes so for S2, it should end on volume 8 if it's only 1-cour so it would end at the end of the private arc. i think there will be another season, the show is very popular so far and the studio has done sequels before. i hope we get it since akane would get a lot of focus for S2 and she's my favourite

Based on how many chapter 1 episode of the anime (ep 2&3) which is 3 chapters, and the 11 episode this show is gonna air. I think it's save to say that it's gonna end in the
(*SPOILER*)

JIF Arc where the new B-Komachi is gonna have their first live, and if there are any 2nd season it's gonna start in the tokyo blade arc

To everyone indignant that I am asking for second season so early :) I am just much farther into the story (since reading the manga from the start) and I know the best plot is Season 2 or 3 Material ;)

The hype for this anime died after the second episode, so it's difficult to predict whether it will receive a second season. If the hype spikes again during the last two or three episodes, there is a higher chance of it getting renewed. However, a second season doesn't depend solely on hype but also on how much profit it can bring to the studio.
