so I haven't read the light novel of this, but I have seen a lot of people saying they skipped a lot of important details and that it is rushed, but in the anime, it seems pretty consistent and well-paced. I was wondering if anyone could explain this to me?

well i guess for people who read the light novel it feels fast paced but for people who haven’t it seems fine. i read the LN and it feels a bit fast paced but that’s prolly bc everything they skipped over is just not necessary to animate maybe? it is a lot of content considering volume 1 coulda been made into 1 whole season but they’re animating 3 volumes into 12 episodes

haven't read the novel but from past experience with novels and anime. the anime always goes by quicker because in the novel you spend more time reading not just dialogue, but great detail of everything. while anime is basically "a picture is worth a thousand words" kind of thing, where details don't need to be read or spoken but just shown as animation so it goes by a lot quicker. plus the novel is always better because it feels much more immersive.

I feel if this was a 2 cour anime It could have adapted the novel better, also I am considering reading the novel after this anime

I don’t understand why Readers don’t get that Anime don’t always follow the written material and therefore treat it as a different version of the story, instead of getting angry it doesn’t have the same exact story in the written material.

I never read the written material, but so many anime that I like are hated just because Readers are over critical.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

I've read 2 of the 3 novel available in English.
I can say the anime is really good and it adapted very well the 1st volume, but, yeah, the adaptation of the 2nd is really fast paced. Episode 7 summarized really well big events, but we lost Tilty's important characterization and a very interesting focus on the relationship between Ilia and Lainie. But it's good overall. The only episode that disappointed me was the n. 6. Everything else is fine and something really good! But I really recommend the light novel 'cause it's amazing and gives way more introspection and focus more time on the romance scenes.

I actually watch the anime and read the manga, they’re both great, LN adds too much details that can and sometimes shouldn’t be skipped, they’ve done really good so far, the pace is very consistent even tho some of my favorite parts from the manga weren’t animated 🥲 I can live with that tho. Great anime this season, probably one of this season imo.

I mean, I can understand the readers perspective lol

I was a bit critical of the adaptation of Adachi to Shimamura, but thats only because the novels are very introspective/very dialogue heavy. Like 10x more than a usual Light Novel. I understand now, that an anime can only fit in so much dialogue

but yea, I do think readers shouldnt be so critical. It can be hard to fit a decent chunk of the novel content into the span of 12-13 episodes
