Romantic progression?

Hey, just wondering if this show actually goes anywhere romantically. With season 2 airing, I am somewhat interested, but I don't feel like investing time into this if it doesn't go anywhere. I don't mind if there hasn't been a confession yet or anything, just as long as it is heading in that direction.

I read manga volume 8 and 9 the other day to see if it leads somewhere and I'm afraid to say no. it's kinda the same over and over again..

I’m up to date with the manga, they do end up developing feelings for each other. The current arc is close to a reveal because they made a promise towards each other after completing a certain task.

Yes, it's actually one of the best paced Rom Coms out there regarding romantic progression. Season 2 has some big milestones in regards, especially next weeks episode.

Not really sure where the people saying otherwise are getting their info from

yeah but I was referencing the practice date with volume 12 where things get more serious between them.

Gotcha, just want to put it out there that there was alot of development before that moment

Either way, the key art makes it seem the shows going to end on the

so season 2 is a great watch for OP if he's looking for romance

should I give it another chance? I liked the 1st season but everything seemed to kinda same old same old in those 2 volumes.. maybe I need to read the rest too

Do they start dating? No. But They have feelings for each other and I’m pretty sure they are both aware of the others feelings. As are all of their friends/family. The “romance” doesn’t really go anywhere but what does happen has a lot of appeal for those who enjoy romantic subtext.

If you're searching for something like horimiya or some kind of kiss, this is not the season yet. In manga they're really close to be together and the Senpai's progression is amazing

How sad that the first answer you got is so wrong. Yes, there is romantic progression (I'm up to date, the manga is on chapter 121 now), and you can already see some of that at the end of season 1 and throughout season 2, and the manga just keeps getting better at it.
