I just find this whole manga so freaking weird and I’m about to say why.
To me, it doesn’t have any redeemable qualities. The writing is terrible, I found most of the characters annoying, I didn’t like the comedy, the art isn’t that great and the fights are ok at best. But somehow all of that is in a completely perfect synchrony, I guess? It’s hard to put into words, but none of those elements that I find bad gets specifically highlighted to me, making it a somewhat funny and refreshing experience overall, if you get what I mean. I swear that I never experienced these confusing feelings with any piece of media that I’ve consumed.

I’m sorry if that seems a pointless post, but I really wanted to expose my thoughts on this manga and see if there’re other people who agree with me. Also, it’s not meant as a jab against anyone who genuinely liked it. All of the points that I brought are only my own opinions and tastes, after all.

Mashle is just a manga that don't take itself seriously and does it very well.

In contrast to you, I think Mashle has a remarkable quality: it's the most idiot manga I've read, not that I read that much. It's just a big parody of many other famous anime/manga on the perfect dose.

It kinda fell off tbh. The author writes by the seat of his pants a bit much. He’ll introduce a concept then change his mind & act like it never existed. Remember when Summons used black magic or when activating their Summon gave them a Triple Line or when the Summons were only the Greek Pantheon lol.

Meh... I don't really like it. Funny at times and some panels make me go "He, ok" but it seems like there's no direction and the author just put his ideas down randomly.
Last fight went too fast, there was zero tension, no surprise, no risk, and wasn't even funny... oh well, we'll see.

I'm kind of in the same boat, I don't think it's amazing, just good, and since I'm caught up, I'll just read it each week. I still find it enjoyable, but I never understand all the praise it gets
