The white girl is actually a dude but he was raised as girl because the black swan is some sort of goddess or diety who take white boys away as they come of age but the white dude already meet the black swan before and he fall for her that why at his coming of age ceremony he run away to confess his love to the black swan that's basically the premese of the story or that what I picked up at least.
