Kinnosuke, by a little, was alright to me as far as a male love interest was concerned. Sure, he was loud and a little bit annoying, but his heart was normally in the right place up until now. Him helping out Kotoko after her house fell was a bit embarrassing in execution, but rather sweet in the grand scheme of things. However, him stalking Kotoko to find out she was living with Naoki is too far, especially since she established beforehand that she didn't want other people knowing her private life - a right she should be able to maintain regarding love interests. Kinnosuke gives a shit about Kotoko, but it's in a way not appropriate for a love interest, much less an appropriate love rival. Kinnosuke's disrespect of Kotoko's boundaries is almost as annoying as Naoki's verbal abuse and neglect to intervene until now.

Naoki suggesting, even by a little, that he might like Kotoko after the shit he's been pulling (especially in chapter 1) is so abusive because he is deliberately giving Kotoko false hope: an emotional reason to stay attached to him when he isn't interested in her. Remember, he said in chapter 1 that he hated brainless women: there's no way in hell that Kotoko's presence suddenly made him change his mind.

Also, regarding chapter 3.5... what does Takuya and Tomomi getting together have ANYTHING to do with Naoki and Kotoko?
