| i don't like it being a cliffhanger with no logical conclusion whatsoever. i'd prefer them at least partially create a sense of finality in s1, with s2 progressing the story further. |
| Couldn't even be mad if this had been the series finale. Lelouch's plans go to disaster, Nunally potentially dead, Tokyo about to be obliterated, Cornelia dying, and Lelouch/Suzaku kill each other -- all while Charles laughs. Can't wait to get through R2 to see how the timeskip changes things, cuz this cliffhanger was absolutely brutal! |

| Really disliked how they forced the story in Episode 22, but the last 3 episodes made good use of it and delivered an excellent climax. Was surprisingly invested. Everything came to a head. A really cool tangle of characters, a twisting narrative and a clash of ideas, delivered at a dizzying speed, with quality visuals and music. The only bum notes were Cyborg Orange and Villetta, no idea why the show's keeping them around. The finale reminded me of what drew me into the show in the first place. And an insane cliffhanger ending to boot. Continuing on to Season 2, slightly annoyed but smiling. |
