Am I the only one who likes the new art style?

I know a lot of people hate the new art style, but I feel like it makes HS DxD look more like other anime of the time. As an anime fan who started anime in 2016, this is the art style I prefer. I understand why it might be more upsetting to older anime fans who prefer that older artstyle though.

My biggest regret: Reading all 200+ chapters of Kanojo, Okarishimasu

What studio is doing this anime? Also I had no idea DxD S4 came out in 2018, I think I watched it myself around 2018-2019 so for some reason I thought it was much older.

I agree.

I admit it was a bit jarring at first, but after 2 or 3 episodes, I vastly preferred it over the old one.

I know I lot of people are gonna hate my next few words, but the previous art style just felt way too outdated to me. This one feels like it fits better with the show, in my opinion.

I can't say i'm the biggest fan of the change, but I did get used to it as I watched season 4. It just looks too cutesy with the more washed out colours and softer edges. I prefer the more vibrant look from before.

I straight up did not realize the studio change, art style change, and voice actor change. Idk why people are up in arms about this stuff now cause the season is 4 years old now. I think I didn’t notice because it had such a wide gap from season 3 to 4. I watched each season as they aired and never rewatched so did not notice any changes.

Latest LN illustrations are much closer to 4th season. I think it's fair to say old artstyle was a more realistic version of older LN art and new artstyle is a more vibrant and less detailed/realistic version of later LN art.

Personally, I think the art style is fine, it definitely could have been worse. It’s not like I sat through every episode being dreadful because the art style changed and voice cast changed. It isn’t the strongest of the 4 seasons, but it’s not terrible. I do however think the art style is the weakest factor about this season in my opinion. If there is going to be a fifth season, a few changes should be made.

I really like the new style too, it feels more calming and relaxing to look at; sure the older TNK style had more detailed character looks but some of the fights and scenes in the TNK style felt stiff in some areas, but in HERO it didn't (for me), it felt smooth and flexable to my eyes and I can't wait for Season 5 with that art style or the TNK style (idc because more DxD content) in the future... if Season 5 is ever gonna happen... pls.

After watching just 2 seasons of the anime with the old artstyle, I have to say that this one is better. I kinda skipped some episodes cuz I just couldn't get myself to like old artstyle. I didn't mean to skip some episodes or even a season, but I just didn't like it. I just found this one better. I wish they could reanimate the first three seasons with this artstyle. I somehow rewatched season 1 since I didn't finish it the last time and I kinda prefer season 4's more. It would be great if the first three seasons got reanimated. Sometimes, I find TNK's art style out of date compared to this one.
