Not really, the first part is pretty hard to get by but it gets better after they chop off the turtle head. Overall s2 is alright, some episodes even got some pretty cool animation.

The fault doesn't just fall on the director of the anime. The fault lies with the author who made this story as well. He should of took some sort of classes on writing because it is obvious he has no idea what he is doing.

Yea the story is bad, the pacing is bad, the characters had no motivation to do anything besides a literal countdown clock telling them where to be. It's a huge mess.

Like you say I don't even know why they bother with levels when it became an issue only one time and then they were all lv 75 again immediately. Even when Naofumi is not supposed to be a warrior he still reached this level with minimal effort after being on the road all the time. I guess Raphtalia wasn't really necessary after all.
