| The initial shock might be understandable but it's really sad she chose to be distant and extra avoidant even though there was an option to try and understand someone who's different, but also someone who is your own family. Just shows how there possibly wasn't much care and love for her father in the first place. I wouldn't try to claim that she doesn't really care about Makoto too, even though it seriously looks like it. Maybe there's trauma and she believes it's justifiable to act in such a way, but seriously... Is it even worth it? To lose all connection with father and forcing her views on her son, alienating him. Where's love in all this? What are the priorities there? This just seems so shallow in a grand scheme of things, and yeah, in simpler words, homophobic. I wonder why and how it came to be that, in contrast, Makoto's father is so understanding and accepting. Even though he admitted that if Makoto decides to become a girl it would upset him, he still acts supportive, realising it's not about him. This is so rare and unusual, which is also kinda sad, because truly his reaction should be a norm, not whatever Makoto's mother has going on in her brain. |
