knowing kyoani we probably won't get a season 3, maybe a movie if we're lucky but the only anime from them that's gotten a 3rd season is free with hibike getting one sometime soon from what I remember

Same here bro, after watching this anime I'm no longer able to get the same level of wholesomeness. I'm not even able to enjoy any other slice of life show.

As for season 3, I don't know much but it may release in next year or two...

KyoAni makes this series a special one. So I'd rather wait till death for a new season than read the manga, because I dont want to feel disconnected when I watch Season 3.
Going by the pattern, Season 2 aired 4 years after Season 1. If they follow the same pattern, on 2025 we might get season 3
But we might get one early, since Season 2 might have been delayed due to Pandemic. At most, Season 3 will air in 2025, if it were to renew a season.
So My opinion is that you wait for the anime instead of reading the manga.

My understanding is the show was very popular in japan, so I think thr chances of another season or movie is pretty high, but I would expect to probably wait another two years for it

Looks like you will probably be able to watch season 3 in 3-4 years. The season 2 was last year so it will take some years to make.

I guess you should just read the Manga if you really want to continue, I personally would read the Manga.

Maybe there could be, but I believe Kyoani is going to prioritize their other works at the moment. I personally would like a Hibike sequel first as well

We probably won't see another season of this untill 2025 or something like that. I think I googled it a while back when I finished the show soo yea. Might as well start the manga if you're really craving more of this.

I think that Kyoani said something sad about Kobayashi when asked abt a season 3, we wont get much more from Kobayashi after the last OVA. Maybe we get a movie but they havent said anything like that. I saw many ppl saying that after last season we wouldnt get anything about Kobayashi so yeah maybe thats true after all

the season 1 of dragon maid was a really good one and season 2 took it to the extreme with it's animation if we ever get a season 3 i hope it gets demon slayer level animation.

frankly I hope season 3 doesn't come out, because it won't be the same wholesome show like it was in first and second seasons. manga after chapter ~70 (From where S3 should start) got pretty much rotten.

. even kyoani during the making of season 2 cut out a lot of weird stuff that is in the manga.

Tbh I’m kinda surprised you missed it. It was huge news. They didn’t come out and say about dragon maid getting delayed, but the director being killed wasn’t a good sign. There was only a handful of projects they officially announced as delayed because of it.

If we’re going it get one it will probably be on 2 years, we probably would have gotten season 2 sooner if it wasn’t for the tragedy at their studio, and on top of that Covid 19, if it wasn’t for all of those terrible tragedy’s then there probably would have been a season 2 in 2020, so we can probably expect one (that is if there’s gonna be one” in 2024

A Dragon Maid movie would more likely indicate the collaboration ending with KyoAni. And here I thought the spin-offs being adapted with all the same VAs would be even more ambitious.
