I knew it would be a sad episode T^T
The deer god was so pretty. He cared about Xiao Shan until the end. Teared up when I saw it reuniting with the wolf god.
And it was hard to watch what happened to Chile Plains...the Queen and her baby too :( Pain.
I thought they might show what happened with Chelophon (Che Luofeng?).
I hope we get another season, and I'll miss the op/ed songs.

[Note to self: This left off at ch. 39.]
(Reminded me of how much I enjoyed the novel too. I should pick up where I left off, or reread to refresh my memory >.<).

I Did Like This But It Took Ages For The Remaining Subs To Appear.
I Watched 6 Episodes Then After Waiting Months Had To Watch Again As I Forgot.
Too Much Anime Going On.
There Was A Lot Of Man On Man Hints, But Only One Female Who Was Swiftly Dispatched, For Now Anyhow.
Every Male Seemed To Eye The Young 16 Year Old Exorcist.
Well As The Main Story Has Still Not Been Explained Fully We Can Only Hope For More.
For Anyone Interested, There Are Zombies In Most Episodes And Some Exorcism.
As Most Magic Has Disappeared You Don't Get Too Much OP Which Is Better For The Story.
Just Give This A Try And See!

while currently the best 3D-animated donghua i've seen, in terms of animation itself,
i somehow didn't find it all that interesting, somehow

similar to Thousand Autumns, there wasn't a lot of comedy included,
and the characters and story was nice enough,
a lot of things happened in the 12 episodes, i quite hope for a season 2,

an earlier episode felt really weird since the character-design of a guy appearing there looked almost just like Yan Wushi....

I like to comment Episodes as i Watch them.

Maybe I'm the only one, but after episode 6 the animation felt stiff and weird and worse. Like their budget end or something. Especially for Chen Xing that look better in the first episodes or perhaps it just me.
The plot move too fast as usual with no conclusion, what again annoying!
if they didn't make season 2 there is no point watching this unless you want to be super frustrated that you will need to go read the novel to get to some kind of conclusion.
overall a good plot but there is too much death, expected deaths of characters, so it made me less care about them since it was too fast. I guess their rule is "everything nice mast die first!" remember the dog? yeah me neither, again was too fast.

That was a bit long and slow paced but I enjoyed the story, this end on a real big cliffhanger and I really hope for more.
I don't have enough love for this to start the novel though. But I will surely check the webtoon.

The big thing bothering me was the too-fast subtitles, watching donghua is a pain since the subtitles pacing are way too fast to catch everything and I even watched it at 0.9/0.8 speed

I really enjoyed this series. I wasn't expecting it to be so engaging. Hoping there's a season two!
