Why in the world the animation looks like cartoon. just started the Season 4 and I am tottaly disappointed at a studio change and story changing

TNK weren't very faithful to the LN for season 3 which irritated the author so he went to Passione for season 4. I'm not big fan of the art style change either but they were at least faithful to the LN as far as I know

Hope so they release S5 in 2022 🥲. I really re watched 7-8 times whole DxD seasons.

the art style is like the LN so it's fine just enjoy the show and if you are complaining about art style then you should watch more anime my dude. Try devilman crybaby, madoka magica or mob psycho . Every anime has there own art style most of are similar but some are clearly different from others.

It it a lil weird but it had to be done bro. Season 4 was good nonetheless just watch after 2 episodes you wasn’t really notice anymore. Rias and akeno still bad either way 🤷🏽‍♂️

It looks appalling, I don't plan on watching future seasons of the show now. Even the story quality takes a huge dip, they run The Grabbing Dragon joke into the ground. I'll stick with seasons 1-3

I think you meant the Art style and not the Animation.
The Animation is more fluent. Much better than before. The Art style is cartoonish but oddly enough is closer to the original.
The story didn’t change, it actually followed the LN more in this adaptation. The author had a falling with TNK (Previous Studio) hence the change.
Most people preferred the Season 1-3 designs but it is what it is...

I didn’t know this. Good on Passione then. End of the day we want the right story not filler with the og art style. Besides it wasn’t that bad.

I am not annoyed with this new art style, even though it looks a bit worse imo.

However, I am really diaspointed with the colors and the atmosphere. The previous seasons had a great reddish ambiance, which added a lot of depth to the series. Now it looks like an average Isekai for children (I know it s not an Isekai, i m just making the comparison)
