In the opening since episode 1 there have been characters who are going to be introduced in the current arc getting animated that's why there isn't a new one

HxH fans stuck with the same OP (though there were multiple versions of it) for 148 episodes, so it's nothing new. I'm quite glad this OP is sticking around, though I'll miss the first ED.

From what I could find season two is coming on Halloween. This info is from the teaser trailer o found online. So my guess the art team finished the new ED and they wanted to use it to say hey this is coming soon.

Zatch Bell did the same thing to my memory I could be wrong. A lot of show with openings made for the English market do that. The most disappointing example being Yugioh. Because the Japanese OP's were amazing. The Orichalcos arc might have sucked but the Japanese opening warriors was so good. And don't get me started on 5DS second Japanese season opening. Though I do like all the English OP's we got especially 5DS. 🎵 Goin fast makes me feel alive, my heart beats in hyper drive🎵

But honestly i think that the new ed will be the new op, many animes do that at the start of a new season, maybe they're doing it cuz the show is halfway through? (I think there will be 24-26 eps

Cause the op slaps bro do you need more of a reason? The full song is even better imo can get a lot done when you’re listening to cry baby full song, musically it just feels right, the buildup and rise in the intensity of the song in like the mid area hits the best imo

I don't know and honestly it's not even necessary. I just hope that if they don't change the song at least they update the visuals, since almost everything shown in the opening already happend in the anime and we're entering the bloody halloween arc.
