My favorites include psychological, comedy and slice of life. The category I hate the most would be isekai. The only thing positive about most of them are the girls.

I love fantasy, urban fantasy and horror , also animes where superpowers are a main theme, but I kind of dislike harem animes and those where the main subject is that the protagonist is playing a game(videogames or something like that). I also avoid sports anime but I heard some are really good and worth the try.
