Second Main Character

So I was scrolling though tiktok and saw a cots edit. In the comments someone said Horikita is the second main character in the anime which is true kinda. Then I realized something, do the light novels have a second main character? Because what I have seen in the 1-7.5 vol there is no 2nd mc

No. There isn’t. Just Kiyotaka.
The Anime just decided to give too much focus to Horikita Suzune hence the reason why she is considered a MC.
In the LN several of the events covered by the anime adaptation occurred with a completely different girl (One is Honami and the other one is Kei but both times they changed it to Horikita for example) so that is the reason Anime only tend to consider her a MC. In MAL is mostly because Mods make the same mistake with multiple series without confirming the information.

I've read an article where the author mentioned in his interview that COTE doesn't have a fixed second Mc/Main heroine. only Kiyotaka is the main character in the LN. while the main heroine will always change every Vol or enter another Arc. So Horikita as a second Mc/Main heroine juat applies to anime only because anime is very different from LN.

This is a definite answer. I've also heard Kinugasa (COTE Author) said in an interview that COTE only has one main character which is definitely Ayanoukouji. while LN never has a definite Main Heroine because they will always change according to the needs of the story. so Horikita is just the Main Heroine for anime only since anime didn't follow LN path. while in LN you have more choices of Heroine such as Kei, Honami, Sakayanagi and Nanase.

There's no 2nd official MC in Classroom of the Elite. Horikita was only one of the main "focuses" in the "anime only". In fact, focus on a "main girl" changes every other time in different events. You can consider her to be the most important character after Ayanokoji but that only applies to the anime. Since it's really different from the LN.
